Nottingham Forest suffered their worst defeat of the season after Leicester City got their revenge for their 5-1defeat at The City Ground earlier in the season.

There were few chances for either side in the first half but Forest looked the more likely to score when they put Leicester under pressure.

After few chances in the opening 20 minutes of the second half, Bruno Berner opened the scoring for Leicester and they were three up within a space of 13 minutes.

The game hadn't been under way long before it was stopped for an injury to Lee Camp and Billy Davies was obviously unhappy when nobody was penalised for the foul on him.

Leicester had the first chance of the game when Martyn Waghorn got away from Paul McKenna and Wes Morgan to make a surging run towards the Forest goal, but in the end his effort was off target.

Radoslaw Majewski had Forest's first effort on target but it was a comfortable save for Chris Weale.

But chances were few and far between for a long period after this and although Forest put one or two runs together but poor delivery meant they ended in nothing.

Forest came close to taking the lead on the half hour mark from a superb, curling free kick by Majewski. The ball was headed off the bar by Robert Earnshaw and came back out to Chris Cohen whose cross found Earnshaw and his overhead kick went across the face of goal and wide.

There were no other chances for either side for the rest of the first half, although Forest were the more dominant side as the half drew to a close.

Paul Anderson was replaced at half time by Nathan Tyson and, as the game got under way, driving rain made the pitch dangerously slippery.

Both sides had chances from the break early in the half, but they were squandered when the ball was given away.

Leicester threatened when the ball was headed against the crossbar by Michael Morrison and came off the crossbar, but the offside flag was up.

There was a delay while Kelvin Wilson received treatment after going down in some pain following a challenge on Waghorn. Fortunately he was able to carry on as his contribution to the game had been excellent.

Leicester missed an opportunity when Forest gave the ball away on the half way line, but Paul Gallagher's effort went high over the crossbar.

But the home side were in front soon after from a free kick. The ball was headed into the six-yard box and fell for James Perch who only cleared it as far as Richie Wellens. The ball came back in to Bruno Berner who swivelled and struck it high into the net.

As they went in search of an equalizer, Forest's second substitution saw Majewski came off for David McGoldrick.

And they came close soon after from a lob by Earnshaw across the penalty area where it was nodded down by McGoldrick towards Perch. He tried to get the ball towards goal through a crowd of bodies but his effort was cleared off the line by Jack Hobbs.

Leicester doubled their lead with 11 minutes to go from a free kick after Tyson committed a foul in a dangerous position. It was superbly taken by Gallagher who sent the ball into the top left corner from 25 yards out.

And Forest were three down when Leicester got forward in numbers. Berner made a good run before firing in a shot, which was deflected in by Andy King.

A good save by Chris Weale denied Paul McKenna a consolation goal from a free kick in the 90th minute.
