Once again Lee Camp was the hero for Forest with a superb penalty save in stoppage time to give them a share of the points in what had been a fantastic game of football.

It was an entertaining first half with some good end-to-end football and although Forest took the lead with Joe Garner's first goal for the club, City came back well to equalize seven minutes from half time.

The second half was equally entertaining and Forest once again went into the lead only to see it grabbed from them with 11 minutes remaining. And with both sides going all-out to find a winner the tension was almost too much to bear when Luke Chambers' foul gave City the stoppage time penalty.

City had a chance to take an early lead with an effort on six yards when David Noble side-footed the ball neatly in from the wing. It evaded Luke Chambers and fell to Michael McIndoe at back post, but he shot wide with almost the whole goal to aim at.

But it was Forest who took the lead with an excellent goal five minutes later. Chris Cohen won the ball just inside his own half and picked out Nathan Tyson on the left. The Forest striker turned Liam Fontaine and cut the ball back to Joe Garner who kept his composure as three City players dived in to stop him and put the ball into the right-hand corner of the net from six yards out.

City missed another chance after Lee Johnson controlled the ball well and chipped it to Dele Adebole. He got away from Wes Morgan and Kelvin Wilson but shot over as Lee Camp came out to close him down.

Another early ball by Cohen created a chance for Forest when Tyson and Garner combined well to beat the City defence and Tyson, under pressure, missed the back post by inches.

City equalized in the 38th minute with a belter from Marvin Elliott, who was allowed far too much space to run onto Adebola's cross, and his shot from 30 yards flew into the top corner of the net, giving Camp no chance at all.

Within two minutes of the second half Tyson used his pace to get past substitute Cole Skuse and hit the ball with his left foot past Adriano Basso in the City goal, to put Forest back in front.

It looked dangerous for Forest when Johnson sent the ball over the top towards Elliott who, under pressure as four Forest defenders threw themselves in front of him, blazed over the crossbar.

Former Forest player Stern John, on loan from Southampton, was brought on by City to increase their strike power.

Forest seemed to panic a bit and lacked composure in midfield as the pressure of having the lead seemed to be having an effect on them. To ease the pressure Colin Calderwood chose to bring in the experience of Carl Fletcher in place of Matt Thornhill.

Forest were nearly gifted a third goal when Paul Anderson played the ball through for Tyson to run onto and when the ball came off a City defender Basso had to get down quickly to prevent an own goal.

After putting Forest under a lot of pressure City equalized from a corner 11 minutes from time. Adebola headed the ball down, Forest were unable to clear and Fontaine shot from the edge of the penalty area through a crowd of bodies.

Chambers came close to getting the lead back for Forest when his shot forced Basso to dive to his left to pluck the ball out of the air.

City put Forest under more pressure when Bradley Orr's effort forced Camp to put the ball out for a corner.

And a great tackle by Morgan on the edge of the box prevented another attempt with three minutes remaining.

With a minute to go Forest had a great chance to regain their lead from Cohen's free kick. James Perch slid in, stuck his leg out and the ball went over the crossbar from four yards.

In a tense three minutes stoppage time City were awarded a penalty when Chambers went into the back of Stern John. McIndoe took the penalty and Camp dived away to his right to produce a brilliant one-handed save to put the ball out for a corner and save the point for Forest.
