Nottingham Forest suffered the humiliation of going out in the first round of the LDV Trophy after a poor performance against Conference side Woking.
Woking scored first but Forest soon equalised and then took the lead with Academy player Felix Bastians looking good as he set up both goals.
But Forest failed to capitalize on their lead and played poorly in the second half, allowing Woking to score twice to regain the lead.
Gary Megson changed all but one player from the starting line-up against Hartlepool, bringing in Academy players Vincent Fernandez, Felix Bastians and Martin Vickerton alongside what was otherwise an experienced side.
Forest's play was as uninspiring as the atmosphere from the small crowd at the start and they let Woking create the early chances.
Their first came when Blackman got away from James and Bopp and into the penalty area, forcing Gerrard to dive and make the save.
Eleven minutes into the game Woking took the lead from a corner when Oliver's header was cleared off the line by Thompson before the rebound went in off Rawle from 6 yards out.
But their lead lasted less than 10 minutes when Weir-Daley controlled the ball well down the left and picked out Bastians. His low ball across the 6-yard box found Bopp whose drive at a tight angle into the roof of the net gave Forest the equaliser.
As Forest started to gain control of the game and work as a team, Bastians did well again to create a chance for Weir-Daley who headed just over the crossbar.
Woking had a chance to regain the lead when Richards got away down the right and his shot sent Gerrard diving to his right and he stretched just far enough to keep the ball out.
Forest's second goal started with a great run from Fernandez down the right and a good shot in to Weir-Daley who put the ball past the keeper just inside the post.
And a great build up gave Forest another chance when Bastians cross towards the back post forced Davies to put the ball out for a corner.
By the time the half time whistle went Forest were looking confident but they struggled to get into their stride at the start of the second half.
Woking failed to capitalise on a mistake by the Forest defence, allowing Ferguson to get free down the right but a sliding tackle by James put the ball out of play.
But then Woking took advantage of Forest's poor start with an equaliser from a high cross from Blackman on the right which was headed in by Rawle for his second of the game.
Another Academy player made his debut when Jon-Paul Pittman came on to replace Bopp.
Forest still struggled to get going and found themselves behind again with 25 minutes to go when a high cross from the right was headed down by Richards at the back post.
Woking continued to punish the Forest defence and came close to extending their lead on more than one occasion.
Forest were so poor in the second half that in the end Woking deserved to progress to the next round.
