Three goals and ten shots on target gave Nottingham Forest a comfortable win over Cheltenham to give them six points in five days. Cheltenham took the lead with their first ever goal against Forest. But Forest came back with a quick equalizer and took the lead just before half time. Forest added to their tally with another goal at the start of the second half and held onto their lead comfortably to deserve the three points.
