Frequently Asked Questions About Ticketing

Season Ticket General Sale FAQ's

My date of birth, or the date of birth of one of my friends and family is wrong and I can't edit it?
Because the club's new online system now uses dates of birth to automatically work out concession prices, you need to have the date of birth for concession ticket buyers verified with the Ticket Office. Please email tickets@nottinghamforest.co.uk quoting the client reference number of the person who you want the date of birth to be changed and what the correct date of birth should be. A member of staff will alter the system for you and reply back when this is done.

I have paid to have my Season Tickets delivered but because one of the tickets is a concession the Ticket Office won't post out my tickets?
The Ticket Office will only post out your tickets when the date of birth for your concessionary ticket has been confirmed. The Ticket Office must receive suitable ID to confirm your date of birth. If you come into the Ticket Office and provide these details, a member of staff will release your Season Ticket books. If you have paid to have that book delivered, but collect them at the time of providing ID, they will refund the postage to you.

I have provided proof of age before and the Ticket Office should already have it on file?
You are buying a Season Ticket online, but did not have one last season and you have provided suitable proof of age documents before. However, the receipt email says your concession tickets won't be posted until suitable ID has been provided. If this is the case please phone the Ticket Office and inform them of this. A member of staff will check your file and confirm if suitable ID is on file. If suitable ID is on file they will release that concession ticket to you.

What ID is suitable for proof of receiving concession rated Season Tickets?
If you purchase a new age-related concessionary Season Ticket, you will need to come to the Ticket Office and provide photo-style proof of your date of birth in the form of a copy of either your passport or driving licence. Alternatively, your birth certificate is acceptable if accompanied by a recent photograph. These concession tickets will be held by the Ticket Office and only released once suitable ID is provided.

I do not know my client reference number?
You are only able to buy online if you enter your client reference number, surname and postcode. If you have bought tickets in the past but cannot remember your client reference number there is an option to have your client reference number emailed to you. This only works if your email address is already recorded in the system against your contact details. Alternatively, please contact the Ticket Office and they will provide you with the details you need.

The friend or family member I want to buy for is not already registered on the ticketing system?
If you or someone else you are buying a Season Ticket for is not registered on the system, you can register that person by clicking the register button, (top right) of the front page. Please only create new accounts for people who are not on the system. If you create new accounts for people who are on the system already, it may affect their ability to buy prioritised tickets in the future.

I want to buy my Season Ticket online but have not bought tickets before and am therefore not registered on the ticketing system?
There is a 'register' button, (top right) of the main online ticket page. You can click this and fill in all the required information. Once you have completed the registration process you are able to buy online tickets.

I have tried to activate my account, and it isn't working?
The ticket system has the last recorded address you will have used to purchase tickets. To activate your account you must enter the client reference number, surname and post code the system has recorded. If you have moved house, or changed surname without amending your details, you must enter your old details and you will be able to update these once you have gone though the initial log in stage.

I want to buy two (or more) Season Tickets next to each other and it won't let me?
If you would like to buy multiple tickets next to each other you must ensure that the people you are buying these tickets for have valid client reference numbers and are already registered in the system. You must the also add them in to your 'Friends and Family' section. Once you have done this their name becomes available when you are selecting seats to purchase.

If you have any other queries, please e-mail these to tickets@nottinghamforest.co.uk or call 0871 226 1980.

General FAQ

Why did I get charged adult price for my son who is 17, when for a league fixture this is a junior price?
Nottingham Forest football club decide their own structure in relation to league prices, issuing Under 18's at a junior rate and discount to students. However, F.A Cup matches are subject to change due to multiple parties having to agree to one system. Both clubs and the Football Association have to agree pricing levels.

Phone Queue Lengths:
The club operates a 50 call queue length, which at times can result in callers waiting for a lengthy period before getting through to the Ticket Office. In a direct response to feedback from supporters the Club is cutting the queue length to 25 so supporters, once in the queue you will not have as long to wait. However, the downside is that less people will be able to get into the queue, but the club feel that the length of time someone has to wait is important to reduce. It is physically impossible to add more operators due to the physical space and telephone network. 'This is why the club may use a call centre on higher demand occasions as they have more lines available so that they can process a very high volume of calls in a short period of time. The club would also like to stress to supporters to have their purchase information and method of payment to hand once in the queue. The club experiences a lot of issues from supporters who, once they get through to speak to an operator, don't have the details of who else they were buying tickets for, so instead of the transaction taking 5 minutes they ended up taking 15 minutes and resulted in the queue moving slower.

Queuing times on match day:
Queuing times on a match vary from game to game, but the club strongly advises supporters to avoid match day queues by purchasing tickets in advance by phone or online. Find more information here.

What's the £1 administration charge for?
£1 is added to any ticket transaction when using a telephone service or buying online. This charge covers stationary and postage costs.

Phone rates:
The club's 0871 number is charged at National rate, which from a standard BT landline works out about 9.79 pence per minute. Other landline providers might charge different amounts for this number and mobile phone rates may vary. This is due to the individual carriers, in some cases, adding their own connection charge and pence per minute rate. The club are keen to stress that any cost above the 9.79 pence per minute is not added by the club, nor does it result in any income for the club.

Information overload/ Changes!
As the club received a lot of queries regarding the information on the website and how it was unclear and confusing, some supporters also commented that the information had changed causing additional confusion. The club did not make any significant changes, but due to the volume of information we can understand why supporters might have thought that. We have made the information on ticketing more precise and direct. New links have been created to navigate around the website easier and this Q and A section should help with more specific questions previously asked. When the club decides on ticketing arrangements, they will always be subject to change as situations can vary.

Online tickets - IE8 compatibility issue:
There is a know issue with using IE8 as the web browser when accessing online tickets. It will work but please press the 'compatibility view' button before logging into the account then the stadium view will load without any problems. If you do not press the 'compatibility view' button or press it after logging in then the problem is present.
