A week of fun and interactive storytelling sessions were held last week in three different libraries with over 500 key stage 2 pupils from 5 local primary schools.
It was all part of the Football Stories project run in conjunction with the National Literacy Trust and co-ordinated by the Study Centre staff.
Tony Dallas, a professional storyteller was a huge hit along with coaches from the Football in the Community City department, Academy Players and study centre staff.
One of the highlights, and there were many, was when Wes Morgan paid a visit to the Meadows library to read one of his favourite books "Dirty Bertie" to pupils from his old school Welbeck Primary.
The Forest players and coaches had the chance to tell their own personal stories about life on and off the football pitch. This has helped improve their speaking and communication skills.

Academy player Karlton Watson is seen here with one of the pupils.
"The experience for the Academy Players has been excellent for their confidence and they have really enjoyed being involved with the project" said Sean England - Academy Education Officer.
"The librarians said there has been positive feedback with children joining the library and they too were thrilled to be involved with such positive role models."
