On Tuesday 23rd June, South Nottingham College and Nottingham Forest teamed up to put on a Festival of Sports day.

Continuing on the success of last year's Danielle Beccan Festival Of Sport, the aim of the day was to help build relationships between different communities across the City to help create unity throughout Nottingham.

Unfortunately gang rivalry throughout the City still exists, however through projects such as Festival of Sport it is clear to see sport beginning to have a positive effect on bringing these different cultures together through one common goal.

Julian Bennett and Garath McCleary came along to the event to give the children an insight into the life of a professional footballer.

A big thank you goes to Gareth Norman and all his Students from South Nottingham College who provided the coaching on the day and Nottingham Trent University for providing an excellent facility.
