Nottingham Forest and South Nottingham College have once again teamed up to deliver City United, a project formed last year to help students achieve their level one sports qualification with the help of Julian Bennett as a mentor.

Due to the success of the project Julian will once again play an active role in helping deliver some of the modules and has even enlisted team mate Garath McCleary on to the project to support the growing Foundation Learning Tier course!

Both players will be on hand over the 36 week period and hope to once again have a positive impact on the students and the curriculum.
Curriculum Manager Gareth Norman said:

"Last year I only expected Jules to come along and have a Q/A session on being a Professional Athlete in the induction but he along with the club gave so much more.

"Jules came in to the college a couple of times a month to check on the student's progress as well as supporting their learning.

"The club were also incredibly kind and generous by inviting the students to the City Ground for unique sessions and rewarding them with complimentary tickets to matches.

"The support of Jules and the club produced very high retention and success rates of 85%, 21 students completed the course and achieved there qualification. This success rate is a direct correlation of the help from Jules, Garath and the club."
