Elliott Ward has returned to Nottingham Forest on loan for the remainder of the season.

The Norwich City central defender made 12 appearances for The Reds in an initial nine-week spell at The City Ground that came to an end after last month’s 2-2 draw with Crystal Palace.

But boss Alex McLeish has boosted his defensive resources by landing the 27 year old on an extended loan.

Chairman Fawaz Al Hasawi said: “Elliott proved how valuable to our squad he can be during his initial loan spell with us.

“He made it clear he wanted to come back to the Club for the remainder of the season and we’re delighted to have him here.”

Ward will go straight into Forest’s squad for Saturday’s home Kids for a Quid fixture against Peterborough (kick-off 3pm).

Tickets for the Peterborough game are available via the usual outlets – in-person at The City Ground Ticket Office, on-line at www.nottinghamforest.co.uk or by calling 0871 226 1980 (calls are charged at 10p per minute, mobile rates may vary).

Elliot’s player sponsorship is now available for £417 + VAT for the second half of the season. To book or for more information call Corporate Forest 0115 982 4450 or email hospitality@nottinghamforest.co.uk.
