The 21-year-old, who made his full debut in The Reds’ Capital One Cup win over Fleetwood at the start of the season, is currently on loan at League One side Walsall, and his manager is delighted that he has signed on the dotted line.
Sean O’Driscoll said: “He is a goalkeeper who has been impressing for a long time. He needed to go out and play. We were both happy for him to go just about anywhere to get some games – he sees that as a progression, to actually be responsible for a team and their results.
“He’s got a bright future. Paul Barron has vast experience of coaching very good goalkeepers and I think he sees a great deal of potential in him. He’s doing really well at Walsall and I’m pleased that he’s signed a new deal with us.”
