Nottingham Forest manager Billy Davies has confirmed centre back Jack Hobbs will miss the rest of the season with an ankle injury.

Hobbs, who earned a permanent move to The City Ground after an impressive loan spell, last featured in the 3-0 victory over Huddersfield Town on 11 February and must now sit out the remainder of the 2013-14 campaign.

Speaking to nottinghamforest.co.uk ahead of today’s match, his manager said: “In the last 24 hours it’s been confirmed Jack has sustained a stress fracture in his ankle which will more or less rule him out for the season.

“We’ve also lost a player for the second week running due to family reasons. Against Burnley it was Radi Majewski and this week Guy Moussi has unfortunately had to return to France.

The manager also revealed Darius Henderson will be unavailable this afternoon, saying: “We are now down to 18 available players but will nevertheless look forward to a very tough game against Wigan.”
