Nottingham Forest have signed OGC Nice defender Kevin Gomis on loan until the end of the season, subject to international clearance.
The 25 year old French centre-back started his professional career with Guingamp and his search for regular football took him to Portuguese side Naval in 2009. The Parisian made his debut in a 3-1 defeat to FC Porto in August 2009, coming up against the likes of Hulk and Falcao.
After making 54 outings and scoring two goals for the Portuguese outfit, Gomis switched to French top-flight side Nice in July 2011. He made his debut a month later, coming on as a substitute in a 3-1 home loss to Lyon.
The 25 year old has made 37 appearances for the Ligue 1 side, the last of which came in Saturday’s 3-1 defeat at Montpellier, and he will taste English football for the first time as he moves to The City Ground.
