The Reds again had Radoslaw Majewski to thank as his first-half strike
proved enough to earn all three points.
And his manager was delighted to claim his third successive win.
Davies said: “I knew this one would be a real test for us but our play in the first half was excellent - the way we moved the ball around, our passing, the goal we scored was first class.
“We played some really fluent football and should have been one or two more goals in front at the break.
“We knew it would be a different game in the second half and that they would come at us more, but we headed and kicked everything and we came out with a wonderful three points.
“We’ve got to keep our feet on the ground and keep working hard - it’s a cliche but we are taking one game at a time.”
