Big Match Sponsor – Friends and family of Stuart Robert Heggie
Stuart Robert Heggie was a lifelong supporter of Nottingham Forest. He passed away at the age of 50 on 1st May 1997, and sponsoring his club is his family’s way of remembering him 20 years on.
Stuart’s love for Forest came from his uncle, Robert McCall, who was a player and captain of the club in the late 1940s and early 1950s. Stuart was a season ticket holder in the Peter Taylor Stand for many years, and the Worksop company he worked for as accountant, Jackson Builders, was one of the first executive box holders at The City Ground after they helped to build the Brian Clough Stand in 1980.
He followed the team at home and abroad for many years, and saw The Reds lift the European Cup in Munich in 1979. He was a true supporter, raising a family of five Forest-supporting children who he regularly took to games. Stuart’s family and friends will be at The City Ground on Saturday to cheer on Forest and remember a wonderful husband, father, brother and friend.
