The Forest youngster went along to Christ the King Catholic Voluntary Academy to encourage some budding footballers in their latest coaching course.
The course was conducted by Forest in the Community head coach James Mitchell and 30 children between the ages of 11 and 14 were in attendance.
Matty joined in the session by taking over some of the training drills and giving the children some tips of the trade.
After the session Matty said: ”It’s really nice to come down and see the kids because it gives the place a real buzz. Half of the children probably support the club so it is good to come down and support them and there’s a real positive vibe."
James: “Most of the children here are Forest fans so to see a player like Matty who has come through the academy, it gives them something to aspire to and it means a lot to them."
