About us: Nottingham Forest in the Community

Posted: Wed 01 Jun 2016

Nottingham Forest’s community programme has been delivering football activities since 1990.

In October 2010 Nottingham Forest in the Community became a Charitable Trust with the aim of improving sport, education and employment opportunities across Nottingham & Nottinghamshire.

Nottingham Forest in the Community, now employ over 25 full time staff members who deliver a wide range of inclusive physical activity and learning programmes.

This means that through sport we can support our schools, communities and you to feel healthier and achieve more.

Last year, in partnership with Nottingham City Council, we opened the brand new Forest Sports Zone.

Situated on the Forest Recreation Ground this state of the art sports complex provides the city with FA approved 3G pitches and excellent multi-sport facilities.

The Forest Sports Zone now engages over 3,500 amateur players and local users every week ensuring that the original home of Nottingham Forest remains part of our community.

For over 25 years our partnerships with local and national businesses, charities and government agencies has meant we can support you to:

Improve your health & wellbeing

Participate in sport

Access better education and employment opportunities
